Create Google Display Ads Like A Pro 2020 Edition

If you are a website owner or if you have visited any website before, then you might have seen Advertisements on the corners or the top portions of the websites, that’s all because of Google Display Ads.

If you have ever asked someone: Oh how to en able Google Ads on my website, then it can be done with the help of Google Adsense. But, with Google AdWords I can not enable Google Ads on my website.

Just like we did for the Google Search Ads, we will follow the same method to run Google Search Ads.

  1. Click on the Blue Plus sign in your Campaigns dashboard to start a new campaign in your Google AdWords account.
  2. Select the campaign goal for your Google Ads marketing

There are a lot of Google Ads for small business that you can make from these campaign goals.

For instance, let’s choose the Brand awareness and reach campaign goal.

In the brand awareness and reach campaign goal, we can either run a Display Ad or a Video Ad.

Google Ads Goal SelectionAfter that, just like Google Search Ads, we will have to enter the website for which we are running Google Display Ads.

Once you enter the website’s address, click on the Save and Continue button.

On the top side, you will see your Campaign Goal and the type of your Campaign – Display or Video.

After that you need to specify the locations on which you wish to show your Ads.

Now comes the bidding.

As we have selected the Brand awareness and reach campaign goal, we can optimize our campaign’s bidding for:

  1. Impressions
  2. Conversions

Impressions and conversions in Google AdsSo basically, Google will charge you for every 1,000 impressions on your Ads.

Now comes the budget.

Here, you have to enter the amount you wish to pay for your Ad.

Then comes Ad rotation.

Next comes Ad Scheduling. In case you want to run your Ads on specific times, then Ad scheduling is recommended. Suppose you want to run your Ads in the night, then you can do that as well by selecting those specific time zones.

Here, people who are learning Google Ads for small business, they can take this step into consideration. It even applies to Display network Ads in Google Ads.

For example, you can choose to show your Ad to someone 3 times in 1 day or 7 times in 2 days. So, it depends on you however you wish to implement that.

Then select the Ad group bidding. Here, you have to define how much you are willing to pay per 1000 views.

For instance, we entered INR 10 per viewable CPM bid.

Let’s see, out of 10B+ impressions, how much can we get for INR 10.

Creating a Google Display Ad

Once you scroll down, you’ll see a box that says, “New Ad.” Click on it to add creatives. Here, make sure that your Ad creative is less than 150 kb in size.

As per Google’s recommendations, the sizes of images must be of the following:

Now, you can click on the Plus sign to add a new image of the sizes as provided in the above image.

On clicking Add to Ad Group, you can add more images in different Ad groups and when you are satisfied with it, you can directly create a Campaign.

On clicking Create Campaign button, you’ve successfully created a Google Display Ad.

In the Google Ads dashboard, you can see the statistics of the performance of your Ad.

Now, here you have to keep in mind that you don’t want users to make extra efforts while seeing your Ads.

You need to understand that people won’t see your Ads. A lot of people use Ad blockers to keep themselves away from Ads. But, on the other hand, there are some people who don’t use Ad blockers.

So, for such people, we want to gather as much attention as possible. In today’s world on the internet, the costliest thing is not money. It is getting someone’s attention and their time. So the Google Ads Marketing with Display Ads is one of the best options.

Use retargeting for better results

The Google Display Ads are mostly charged on Cost Per View. So here you must use a psychology that people who view your Ads must know about your brand beforehand.
